Apple release iOS 18.6, iPados 18.6, MacOS Sequoia 15.6, Watchos 11.6, TVOS 18.6, and Homepod Software 18.6

Apple today released iOS 18.6, iPados 18.6, MacOS Sequoia 15.6, Watchos 11.6, TVOS 18.6, and Homepod Software 18.6.

In the use and testing of iOS 18.6, iPados 18.6, MacOS Sequoia 15.6, and Watchos 11.6, we do not identify changes in this release which specifically affects experience for blind, deaf, or low vision users. We cannot test TVOS 18.6. If you see a change in the use of this release itself, please tell us by posting comments.

How to update

iOS 18.6 and iPados 18.6 are available through over-the-water updates (General Settings> Software updates) through Finder on Mac with MacOS Catalina or newer, or through iTunes on a PC or Mac with MacOS Mojave or before.

Before updating, we strongly recommend making complete and complete backup of your device (either locally or in iCloud, depending on personal preferences). This will ensure that, in the case that is impossible that there is something wrong during the update process, you will have an current backup if there is a recovery of the device it is necessary. Also, if you use an OTA update, we suggest putting your device into resources during the duration of the download/installation process, so that it can prevent your battery events that cannot die during the update.

To install MacOS Sequoia 15.6, select the system settings from the Apple menu, select General in the table, click on the software update in the scroll area, and click the update button now to start the update process. If other updates are available, you can click the Info button to see details about them and select special updates to be installed.

Watchos 11.6 Available through Over-The-Water Update (Settings> General> Software Update) or by going to the Watch application on your iPhone and navigating to the public> software updates. To install an update, your watch must be connected to the charger and has at least 50% battery power.

To install TVOS 18.6, on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, open the settings channel, then look for a part of the system near the bottom. From here, look for software updates under maintenance, then select the software update and download and install. Wait for your Apple TV to download updates. Don’t remove or unplug your Apple TV until the update is complete.

By default, homepods and mini homepods automatically install new software updates, but you can manually check updates on your home application on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
