Apple Release iOS 18.4.1, iPados 18.4.1, MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1, and TVOS 18.4.1

Apple today has released iOS 18.4.1, iPados 18.4.1, MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1, and TVOS 18.4.1, bringing bug repairs and security renewal, including for vulnerability that Apple is believed to have been actively exploited.

Because this update is not distributed to external examiners before its release, we do not have information about whether they contain improvements in accessibility for blind, blind, or low vision users at the time of writing. However, because this update seems to have been released to overcome a small amount of specific problems, we do not expect them to contain such improvements.

How to update

iOS 18.4.1 and iPados 18.4.1 are available through over-the-water updates (General Settings> Software updates) through Finder on Mac with MacOS Catalina or more recently, or through iTunes on a PC or Mac with MacOS Mojave or before.

To install MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1, select the system settings from the Apple menu, select General in the table, click on the software update in the scroll area, and click the update button now to start the update process. If other updates are available, you can click the Info button to see details about them and select special updates to be installed.

To install TVOS 18.4.1, on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, open the settings channel, then look for the system section near the bottom. From here, look for software updates under maintenance, then select the software update and download and install. Wait for your Apple TV to download updates. Don’t remove or unplug your Apple TV until the update is complete.
