Nothing makes us excited about the celebration season like the Christmas market. And it seems like we are not the only one. The top Christmas market in the world attracts millions of annual visitors. It is estimated that three million people are now flocking to the oldest Christmas market in Germany, Stnezelmarkt from Dresden, every year – and that number will only increase this winter.

There is one thing that tends to compete with our longing for a comfortable Christmas market, but … and that is the attraction of the winter sun!

A large number of us began to dream of a trip to a warmer climate immediately after the weather became cold. According to ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) nearly half (46%) people surveyed were ordered or considered to take winter holidays in 2021.

So, what if we combine the two? Traveling to the Christmas market which also allows us to escape from the cold and enjoy a little winter sun, while still feeling very lively and excited about the holiday season! What can be better?

Our team decided to see if that was possible. To do this, we ranked the city by printing it based on the number of Christmas markets and the hottest temperatures in November and December, they then gave each goal of the average score of 10.
